We are recruiting for the role of Architectural Technologist / Senior Architectural Technologist to join our team based in Central London (Victoria).

We are looking for a candidate who is hard working and enthusiastic, with good design and communication skills and an eagerness to keep learning. The applicant will be working on a range of predominantly residential and commercial projects throughout London.

The role will include:

· Attending site visits and undertaking measured building surveys

· Preparing architectural drawings for planning applications (up to RIBA Stage 3)

· Preparing Design and Access Statements for planning applications

· Preparing 3D images

· Attending meetings with clients

 Successful candidates will have a recognised architectural qualification and have at least 2 years’ UK experience within relevant project sectors. The candidate should have a good understanding and experience of designing buildings in accordance with UK Building Regulations and other recognised guidance / best practice. Knowledge of the UK planning process and previous experience working on planning applications would also be looked upon favourably.

Successful candidates must be computer literate and able to use the following software packages:
· Proficient in AutoCAD (2D)

· Ability to take measurements on site

· Working knowledge / experience of Photoshop, InDesign and Sketch Up (desirable)

· Sunlight / daylight appraisal knowledge (desirable)

We are recruiting for the role of Assistant Planner to join our team based in Central London (Victoria).

We are looking for a candidate who is hard working and enthusiastic, with good writing and communication skills and an eagerness to learn. The applicant will be working on a range of predominantly residential and commercial projects throughout London.

Your Experience:

Successful candidates will have:

 A bachelor’s degree in any subject and be willing to join the University of Westminster’s RTPI Professional Apprenticeship programme, to work towards a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning over three years. The course is fully funded by the Government and City Planning. It would involve 4 days per week working for City Planning and 1 day per week studying at University (Marylebone campus). Full details can be found here. Candidates must have a right to work and study in England and have been ordinarily resident in the UK or EEA for three years before the apprenticeship start date.

 OR

A Degree and / or a Masters in a Town Planning field and 0-2 years’ experience working within a UK-based town planning consultancy.

Your Role:

The role will include tasks such as:

• Reviewing local and national planning policy and legislative changes

• Undertaking Planning Appraisals and preparing Letters of Advice to clients

• Writing Planning Letters and Statements to accompany applications

• Preparing and submitting planning applications

• Managing small to medium sized projects

• Assisting senior staff on more complex applications

• Attending site visits and meetings

• Monitoring planning applications

• Telephone calls to Council officers, clients and sub-consultants

Your Skills:

Successful candidates must be computer literate and able to use the following software packages:

• Proficient in Windows, Word and Excel

• Ability to use InDesign (for formatting reports and images) would also be of benefit
